ok - BLB has a bad rep here. i think some of us overegg it. they have always been really nice to me, and i have no issues at all with their service. they've even opened up at 8pm when they were about to go home because i skidded through my tyre, sold me a new one, let me fix it in the shop, then closed up after. they have given me various things in the past, seatpost bolts, bar end plugs, the smaller bits and pieces, and sold me an oldish front wheel for £18, a shimano 600 rear brake for £4. they are an independent bike shop, as such, i feel they are worth supporting in this age of nasty mega-chains. whether or not you take your stronglight cranks there is another issue. jan, feyer are very nice people. aviva is nice if you catch her on the right day. i like it there, and i am prepared to pay a bit more to keep them in business.
that's about it really. i just don't think we should all jump on the 'BLB are satan' bandwagon so readily, when some of us been riding fixed for 8 seconds and can't fix an puncture.
