Yeah. I saw a programme about that a few years ago. There was a plan to build a huge housing mega estate in Camberwell. The plan was, it would be linked by skyways, so pedestrians would never have to touch the ground until they reached the Elephant & Castle.

I think part of it did get built. According to the show, the female architect committed suicide when she saw what it became.
