• i have a cheapo halfords inflator which is just a piece of machined brass that you screw the sparklet into. only used it the once and it sort of worked but my finger froze to it, started off with a pump to get the tyre nearly there and the co2 did a good job of getting some pressure into the tyre, was definatelt more psi than i could get with a small handpump.

for short rides i have been ditching the camelback and traveling lite with just the co2 inflator and a spare tube but have been looking at the planet-x pump that takes co2 as well as being a mini pump it would be short enough to fit in the back pocket of my cycling jerseys, i like th idea of being able to hand pump if the co2 fucks up and leaks or I don't fit it onto the valve properly. anybody used one of theses pumps? either that or i buy another co2 inflator with a proper trigger mechanism and a cover for the sparklet to stop the ice burns. anyone used these and not taken a hand pump with them?

found a really good site http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk that is good value for pumps and don't charge the ridiculous prices for sparklets like evans (6.99 for 2. 16g sparklets compared to £6 for 10 at tyreinflators.co.uk)
