I use paselas 23 and 28 on different bikes, they're quite hardwearing, grippy and OK for p*******s. I've heard the older-type ones are a bit small, i.e. the old 28s are more like a 25... sjs seem to have both in some sizes. I never skid, so I wouldn't know about that sor. Not cheap mind. Also I think gum looks all grey and mucky as soon as you get brake-compound dribbling all over them in the wet. I guess you just have to clean them. erk. Only a problem if you use a brake or brakes.
