'Stop at red' campaign

ads The first paragraph gives me rage:

"Stopatred is a campaign to improve the status of cycling in the eyes of the public and policy-makers alike, and to tackle the attitudes of those cyclists whose behaviour perpetuates the image of cyclists as a low-status social 'out-group' on wheels"

I don't feel particularly low status and I also think cyclists are cool as opposed to an out group.

but to the general public cyclists are not cool they are weird people who can't afford cars.
jumping red lights does nothing to help the 'image' of cycling or any arguments about the attitude of other road users but really i couldn't give a toss about people who RLJ as they deserve any fine/accident coming their way but i'm not going to advise you to stop doing it. it's your choice to obey the law or not.
