You might be right of course, but I suppose some people think it doesn't have to be this way ?

aidan i feel he needs to take it on the chin join in,gives some banter back...not storm off.

People are different, some people do get offended by nasty remarks on the back of what he might have thought was a fairly benign gesture - stick it on LFGSS before feeding it into the ebay/gumtree machine ?

Anyhow, I think this thread has run its course for me at least, and a few issues are getting conflated into something I doubt will be resolved, there will always be people who want to lay down arbitrary rules for others and there will always be people who are uncomfortable with that.

I am off to have a cup of tea, a Mars bar and a massive shit.
