• I sometimes use contacts with normal sunglasses/shields (training, racing, raining), but for normal commuting I've got an old pair of Rudy Projects with clip-ins. The prescriptions out of date, and the frames are knackered. For general life/commuting, I don't really want to use contacts, cos when I get off and go to a placement/lecture and have to read something, my minimum focal distance is rubbish. I'm in the habit of peering under my glasses when dealing with small text. And I don't want to use my normal specs, as they're unlikely to survive any unfortunate impacts...

    I'm looking into some Optilabs (hopefully with minimal optical distortion round the edges, and might be able to knock down the price with some whingeing about my student status and working tax credit/NHS exemption certificate :)
