hey leeww, that Bebop is a sweet looking pedal and a new one on me. have always been happy with the various Sidi MTB shoes I have had used with SPD. did go down the eggbeater route for a bit but found the cleat wore too quickly. might check out those bebops for a change

Yep, they are great, lighter than even a triple Ti set of eggbeaters, a class leader at 185g a pair (shimano's top end PD-M959 are 354g a pair) - all steel construction, so no weight limits either.

They are in fact very old, been around for many many years, I have had a pair for at least 10 years.
