i can't recommend chain tensioners enough. i spent $30 and worth every penny. after 8+ months messing around, learning sheldon's wheel-walking techniques and getting really frustrated, being able to tighten your chain in 3 seconds feels so good. getting them in and adjusted right can be a bitch, but once you do you're sorted. and yeah, should def stop the wheel sliding forward.
