Well, speed is just methamphetamine. The Tour riders were on different types of amphetamines. Same effects.
The drugs in use in the 60's and 70's were supposedly large, cheap supplies of amphetamines from post-war.
gack is nickname for low quality amphetamine. Just use more of it! :) Yes, speed is still available these days.
K isn't exactly 'performance enhancing'!
