asm Baring in mind what people have said about how ride quality/sturdiness is more down to the wheel build, would you reccommend splashing out on getting wheels built proffesionally? Not sure whether to get bricklanebikes to build my new wheelset (i'm thinking of velocities too) or to buy the bits individually and get some help doing it myself (that means you hovis!).
the first wheels that i built ended up being very sturdy. they were laced to open pro's and they're still going strong. if you are willing to get over the initial learning curve, i'd say build them yourself. getting it built, however, will save you the mistakes that you'll make.
again, if you need a hand, just let me know. i've actually built my own truing stand, and it works very well. i'll be building up a new set next week, i think. white deep-vs to green hubs.
