It’s a shame the world humours them in their pretension that only they deserve the name. There’s a billion people in the Americas, but that vocal 1/3 from the USA monopolise the name for themselves (with help of, eg, the UK that seems to have always referred to its North American colonies as America).
America for the Americans, USA for the Usonians.

You are grossly underestimating the threat of Trump. His supporters are rabidly advocating taking over everything they can. It’s not a joke, and not funny for anyone next door to the shithole america.
