Hah! I'd forgotten about the dislocated jaw warnings when being introduced to a sprung lever. Spent some time working on one of these and it was the most enjoyable coffee-making experience I could imagine: https://www.velopresso.cc/
Good to see they still seem to be going strong. I loved the idea but wasn't sure if it'd be able to stick around long-term

It’s awesome. Solves all the normal lever machine problems like temp management, jammed levers and broken jaws while delivering beautiful lever texture. The only stumbling block is it will always deliver the full volume of the cylinder. You can stop the shot but you can’t set an automatic shot volume. That might be a workflow and training difficulty.
