I’m trying to get back into using my camera again after years of just using my phone. Through uni and afterwards I used my DSLR a tonne and had a few nice lenses but ended up selling it all as I slowly stopped using it because of the size.
I now have an Olympus EM5 that I like, but again don’t use a tonne. But I have some trips planned this year that I think I want to use it for (Madeira, Indonesia).
Currently only have the 15mm f/1.7 Panaleica. Thinking I need other options for something a bit less wide especially for landscapes and wildlife in Indonesia. Let’s say I want to spend under £400 and I’m happy to go used, what should I do if my main goal is size and weight?
The pancake lenses available seem great from the size perspective but I’ve also seen the Panasonic 35-100 f/4-5.6 recommended (the 2.8 is a bit of a chonk). Or is that going to be a weird combo once paired with my 15mm? Should I just get another prime or two?
It’s been years since I looked at this stuff so I’m out of practice!
