• Who could have guessed.
    “Alignment” yesterday. Today after driving home my rear wheels were hot to the touch and it smelt like I’d been driving with the handbrake on. I hadn’t.
    Back to kwik fit to see what they say but I’m inclined to think “oh fuck off”.

  • I would never trust Kwik- Fit with alignment. A work colleague changed a ball joint and track rod end last year, counted the turns off and on etc and it drove OK steering wheel slightly off so he took it to Kwik fit for a tyre and had alignment, they couldn't give him a print out as printer wasn't working :(
    Driving home it was all over the place, they insisted it was set up fine and there was something worn on his car :(

    I had a quick look at work and you could see by eye that it was 'toe out' way too far so we set it up by eye and string so it was driveable. He got his money back from Kwik Fit and had the tracking done properly at a local garage. Absolute con artists in my opinion.
