Yeah I think this is a key difference from memory (I was 13) Maasai veerrryyy wide open and flat. Incredible but very different to Kruger.
The other big thing that’s a massive positive for Kenya is in Kruger you can only go on the roads. Kenya it’s basically anywhere your guide can drive so you can go looking for stuff rather than hoping it’s near you.
Only two experiences and one a very long time ago, but can’t recommend them both enough. Safari is awesome.

I've only been to Kenya but @PeteJChurchill's photos seem to have loads more vegetation. I remember wide grasslands so not much in the way. Random example (from ~2004, shot on film with a 200mm lens IIRC).
