Definitely not as hot, seems like it can do most of what acetylene does though,
I mean much hotter than mapp gas alone and I've been getting by with that.
I just want something more efficient and cost effective.
I think my partner will like having a safer option than acetylene in the garage to be honest, and so would I.
Maybe I'll go down this route as I already have a torch, hose, flashback arrestors, gauges etc. Just need gas.

The fact that there was an acetylene bottle in it did provide me with an extra incentive to put out the fire I started accidentally in my garage a while back. Thankfully, not being entirely foolhardy, I had made sure there were plenty of fire-extinguishers in the garage, so it wasn't hard to do.

Definitely not as hot, seems like it can do most of what acetylene does though, or at least enough of it that I don’t feel the need to go to the bother of acetylene.
The oxygen and propane are on the ‘deposit for the cylinder and pay for refills’ basis where with acetylene you’d be renting the cylinder and I couldn’t find anywhere that’d let me pick it up (as I do with the oxygen and propane) so was going to have to pay an extortionate delivery fee which just in itself would have been equivalent to like 3 or 4 refills of propane.
Edit: propane is also meant to be a fair bit safer than acetylene.
