You can imagine a load of job interviews, interviewer “so who did you work for for 15 years?” Prospective employee “I can’t say but don’t give me the job and your family members may just disappear.”

This is the thing though isn't it? Put a bunch of conspiracy theory orientated nutters who characterise any civil service or public body as "the Deep State", and obviously they're going to go after the people they think killed JFK.

About to fire lots of CIA employees apparently?
Not that I personally care about their well being, but I wonder if years from now we'll see some fucked up series of events that can be traced back to the time when lots of spooks suddenly found themselves without an income.
