  • Unfortunately gonna see a lot more of these 'things' in future. With Brexit making bringing the good stuff from Europe in more expensive and a hassle (for some, in some ways), absolutely tonnes of these junk CDM crappers are coming in. See them especially in the cities with the uber/deliveroo guys, but occasionally you see a family who's bought one. Lots of strange size and crappy parts that aren't really replaceable, or not even worth the labour, and then of course actual material failures, brake tabs that rip off, brake tabs that only allow part of the pad to touch the disc, 'fake' disc rotor materials (literal fake metal, rotors wearing through and collapsing causing crashs with way less than 1000 km use, record is 350-450km of use and rotor was a pringle) list goes on. Lots of them in council waste sites is the place you'll really start to see them! Some even brand new, as older folk have bought cheap e bikes and e cargo online, arrived and is basically impossible to assemble/make work very well, so they sit in their house or garage for a few months or years, then make their way to the dump. Absolute insanity, sorry planet.
