Difficult to say: labour prices go up, battery prices are coming down. But our average conversion is getting more techy and thus the prices go up.
If you build a Beetle with a smallish pack and source most parts from salvaged oem ev’s you can do it reasonably cheap. If you have someone convert a one of project with a big pack, CCS fast charging, electric ac etc your looking at 60k plus without taxes 🤷🏼♂️

Saw a battery converted new mini on eBay that had issues with the motor connection to the gearbox so felt sketchy as I couldn't find out what parts were there.

Yeah figured it would most likely going up, shame but understandable given the work involved. Economy and emissions on the Saab are good for a car of it's age but could definitely be improved. Think a better engine management system would be the next logical step.
