That first style of 11s Shimano FD was fucking stupid. So much variation in its response from frame to frame, depending on that cable angle. One time I even had to put a clamp-on cable stop under it with a bit of housing to redirect the cable, what a fucken faff

Also you’re not wrong, first times it was a nightmare but doing it almost daily for the past 4 years I prefer it over the old one, especially with the build in cable adjuster, and the fact you can run full housing all the way to the derailleur is a bonus point
