Not heard the term type 2 pleasure. But I will use it from now on. Then claim it as my own.
I have known that level of pain, on a cycle and motorbike. The joke is that being a true biker is when you are do wet and cold you need a piss and decide to just piss your self so at least you have a little bit of warm. The term group suffering is not as bad as lone suffering.

Type 2 pleasure. Never ever has a bad ride been had.
My army days taught me that group suffering is a privilege.
In those moments, those that were there - only they know.
We've all got analogous stories, which are neither more nor less, but each story is the same and different.
And we all wish we were there but glad we weren't.
