Been audaxing for decades (not saying how many!) and one of the things I like is the fact it is like a set of rules for guidance rather than authoritarian rule. Eg fixed wheels points - the only check on whether I was on fixed is because I say so.
I have diyed dunwich Dynamo, riding both ways to make a 400 . Felt more like a uk Audax than the ‘not a race’ Pbp.
I would have no qualms joining a club run half way round a diy if bb I cg old hold on.
I am sure many diy organiser also think so. Don’t ask don’t ask don’t tell?
