If I am buying anything new it will have USB-C but I reckon for now I'll wait. I've got too many 'real' books to read first. The Kindle app is just a nice backup 'book' on the phone.
I did just buy a Kindle copy of another book though because I'm a twat. At least now I can see all the stuff in my Amazon account. Probably needs a clean up.

It was literally a "I wonder what a Kindle costs now" thought yesterday while I was looking for Dremel tools to cut some (brand new) cupboard away for the stupid new smart meter they're forcing us to install and I needed something to boost for free postage (I normally add books I want).
I've not seriously considered one yet but I did think that for longer trips, train trips or maybe bike tours it'd be a lighter, more compact way to carry more reading material. Although realistically I already have my phone so why wouldn't I just use that, but now it looks like I need to move away from Kindle because the app is broken.
Second hand is an option I guess but I presume new tech is better.
