It doesn't seem unprecedented strength for an ultra light tent, a pyramid would be fine in those conditions and lighter.I think it's a great looking tent, just use it in its window of use, which I think your trips would be well within. Id rather have the xdome than a BA, but I like small brands and their often better customer service and quality. Id buy a xdome if I were you. But I don't think it's perhaps the right tent for me.

At least the founder has cojones to come in the comments and explain why it happened etc.
Finding it hard to triangulate exactly what to get - its between this or a Copper Spur (I think) although don't love the 'bikepacking specific' features of that one. I want freestanding and no trekking poles.
If anyone has a better idea I would love to hear it. Its for torino-nice in July plus occasional UK trips (not winter realistically).
