I remember talking to someone who worked in banking with people around before the US banks moved in... so 70s and earlier?
They said when those old guys would meet for lunch BITD they'd generally have:
- 1-2 G&T
- ½-1 bottle of white
- ½-1 bottle of red
- Port
- 1-2 brandys
Then go back to the office to sign their letters.
- 1-2 G&T

I always found it funny how they would absolutely guzzle whisky and be able to talk/walk/breathe.
