  • I keep moving my parters old camera bag from under my feet (why is under my desk?) and it’s got to the point where it needs to be got rid of. it contains a Praktika BX20 50mm 1.4, 20mm 2.8 and a 135mm plus extension tubes. all in remarkably good condition with no scratches or fungus on the optics. battery still powers the meter in the camera body.
thought this would be worth about £30 for the whole kit but the 20mm seems to go for stupid money or are those prices just wishful thinking? where is th best place to get rid rid of this stuff?

  • My experience of selling older/cult lenses is you should just put them on eBay at a fair price based on previous price research and wait. They take a month or two to sell but eventually they sell. I do have the m42 20mm f2.8 on my watchlist and I've seen them sell for £200-400. This assumes the lens has no issues.

  • I have priced both the 20mm and a 50mm 1.4 for £400 as a pair plus a free 135mm and extension tubes (these are not worth so much) on a pro photographers group. will see if there’s any takers. that’s priced lower than completed sales on ebay. the 50mm is £250 ish from looking at online prices.
If no takers i’ll do an ebay ad at £275 and £125 BIN. and the BX20 body with 135mm at zero reserve.
