Very sad news. This was initially reported as the death of a pedestrian, but changed later.

A cyclist has been killed after being hit by a lorry in Stratford on Monday afternoon.

The man, aged in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene in Carpenters Avenue at around 2pm.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

The incident happened close to the junction with Stratford’s High Street.
