I'm one of the latter (I don't actually own a pair of longs) and in spite of having a little hair left (No. 2 cut) I wear a hat when it is cold.

People who wear shorts year-round
is baffling to me. Surely it's just more comfortable to pop some trousers on and stay warm? When I was a bike courier I worked with a guy who wore shorts year round, even when it was snowing. He also constantly moaned about being cold.

Fellow follicly-challenged people who don’t wear a hat when it’s cold. People who wear shorts year-round make more sense to me.
