• Removing hubs can be a right swine of a job. I ended up making a dedicated hub puller out of box section steel, 5mm plate steel, and two 6 ton hydraulic bottle jacks.

    Last wheel bearing I did was on the X type. Started by buying a second hand drive shaft and hub with a new bearing installed and swapping the whole lot over. All because the bearing can be difficult near impossible to remove. Even with a 20 ton press!

    It is more annoying if you need the car the next day for work purposes, and the car isn't ready.
