    Each to their own but for drawing paths or brushing masks a mouse/trackpad is a blunt instrument, with a Wacom it’s pressure and speed sensitive as well as angle so a brush stroke looks like a brush stroke, with a mouse it’s the same thickness and lacks any finesse.
    Pre Wacom any detailed work would mean ‘the claw’ after using a mouse for an extended period of time, it’s all about economy of movement which is why I like the apple trackpads for all non retouch work.
    Some rave about the Wacom screens but they don’t work for me, if you have it in the ideal place for your hand/arm you are dropping your head forward or you are holding your arm up all day if you have your head up.
    If you do several days retouch on the trot then you need to be comfortable!
