I’ve spent the last two weeks looking for a suitable replacement while my family wagon was being sorted out. Got it back today and after a slightly extended route home it has earned its reprieve. Better the devil you know and all that. I’ve spent about 25% of its value keeping it on the road over the last few months 😑

Took my Subaru to have a wheel bearing done. Turns out it needs two, and bearings plus labour isn't cheap.
I'm not sure trading for another old second hand car would actually be sensible but I can't help but think about cheating on the Subaru.
