• Maybe retouching is not the right word (second-language speaker here, sorry) - what I need to do is clean up scans of the 35mm negs, so it's basically a lot of manual spot healing / clone stamping, removing specks of dust etc. - not beauty retouching or anything so no pressure sensitive stuff needed 👍

    Anyways, do you have a recommendation for a mouse?

  • Pens are still much better for all of that. I got a Bluetooth Intous small off eBay for £35, totally recommend for general use. Much better for RSI prevention too.

  • I had a Intous for half a year or so, didn't get on with it at all to be frank.
    Actually found it harder to precisely spot-heal fine things (like scratches in negatives or specs of dust).

    Also found it super annoying to now have both a tablet and a mouse / always having to put the pen away and pick it up again when going back and forth between typing and using the pen again.

    Happy to hear it works for you but I think it's not true that they generally are "much better for all of that".
