  • They had recently expressed some concern about LFGSS content surviving in some archived form after the shut down and suggested that deleting their account might stop that (it wouldn't). The next couple of months will be even more depressing if that becomes a trend.

  • I’m surprised the film/digital photography threads aren’t looking a bit more sparse either, I wouldn’t want my creative content being free for anyone to use as they see fit and that being enabled by the T&C’s.
    Most people probably aren’t that bothered but there are pics of kids/families etc plus news worthy stuff like demonstrations etc.

  • Anything that's already in the Internet Archive (and there's a lot less from here archived there than people seem to think) is going to stay there no matter what people do with their account in the coming weeks; that's explicitly its purpose. If the forum survives in some form that would be a different matter, but deleting your account now would give you less chance of having any control over that, not more.
