How'd it go? Any tips? I don't know what length & diameter screws to choose or if I need to drill pilot holes.

It was very easy to attach the top, I used self tapping screws and added a spacer in between the top and frame. I'll try and get a pic later on when I'm home.
The frame is the Melltorp.
Like so: -

I have never regretted drilling pilot holes.
Except when I made them a tad too big that one time
