I thought the demoted N-SP was virtually without an income; not a 'working' royal, no longer a UK Trade Envoy, etc.

I'm guessing that his direct employment of us will be cheaper than paying Inept Security Ltd, not that they brought anything to the party. Between you, me and the fencepost certain members of her staff frequently do not get paid and yet they still turn up to work. I don't know if she's been plagiarising any other childrens books and has got some money or if her daughter's are subbing them. It could be that the privy purse has witnessed a tightening of belts and relented. Who knows. Some of my colleagues have interviewed and accepted other jobs. If they go then N-SP might have to open his own gates. We're in a state of flux🤡

This time last year the privy purse was synched up tight and the funding to the security company I was employed by was to cease. A new company was going to take over but "didn't turn up for work". So there was no change, our company stayed and here was a stay of execution for us. Fast forward to last month and we're given notices of redundancy, just like last year, to take effect on 31/10. Now we're told the non-perspiring prince is going to employ us.
This won't end well.😂
