I hate DIY . Absolutely hate it. I'm shit at it too.
Wife sent me a pic of a shelf cube thingy asking if I could put these up in the kids bedroom. It looks like one unit.
Replied yes, probably.Next thing I know, 14 of these little feckers have turned up that all need to be lined up and mounted separately.
I promise you, some of them won't line up properly.

Dreaming. I've been tasked with putting replacement (not original supplied) legs onto an IKEA tabletop.
I'm not confident of a positive outcome but fingers crossed. (May ask questions in Home DIY thread)

Attempt 3 I walked through the exact same steps to show my partner how I was approaching it so she couldn't say I wasn't doing it properly. The only difference being I sized up to a 7mm rawlplug. When the screws jammed in the plug once more whilst tightening down the bracket I walked away.
She tightened them using the same impact driver I'd have used, they behaved for her so the job is done.
