Not sure that's particularly valid; it depends on the drug they're addicted to, and perhaps to a lesser extent, the person themselves.
My old next-door neighbour was on the smack, and he was salt of the earth; as trustworthy as people come. Terrible shame I couldn't trust him not to die of an OD, though 🥺
Folks I'd trust less than drug addicts: rich people. A lot of them seem to think paying people is optional.
