Could carbon fibre car bodies ever become cheap? There are some Americans making carbon fibre copies of vintage muscle cars, but they seem to cost $200,000 or more. https://www.motortrend.com/features/finale-speed-chris-jacobs-1969-chevy-camaro-1970-dodge-charger-carbon-fiber/ Is manual labour a big part of the cost? Automated laying of carbon fibre is a thing. So are big 3D scanners. Let's have cheap CF car bodies. Press a couple of buttons. Job done.
