You can also actually reuse the barbed ends. Just snip up some normal 'bacon strips' and glue the brass heads on to them.
Never thought about doing that. But then again the first tyre I ever used a Dynaplug on was the Cinturato on the Tripster at the end of our An Turas Mor trip in 2021 and that tyre is still plugged and on the bike!

When I've used them they've been in permanently.
If you're wary you can always whack a load of rubber superglue (eg loctite power flex) on both sides of the tyre.
