Suits at 3 position rifle are, unfortunately, one of the major advantages, and teams are always trying to find ways around the rules, and the rules are constantly changing. A decent suit often costs more than the rifle and is a significant barrier to taking up the sport. In Europe there are plenty of second-hand suits floating around, but in the UK not so. 50m prone rifle is not an olympic sport - and you get less help from the suit, so at international meetings it's still possible to see people shooting in the same jacket they've worn for 20 years.
