• She's got some cartridge Fulcrum road wheels currently but I know nothing of their gravel stuff. These were freebies.

  • I've had some basic/cheap road fast-ish wheels and was very pleased with them. Cartridge bearings of course. Having owned DT Swiss, Hunts, Scribes and some others, The Fulcrums fared very well for their price. Better build quality than the Hunts and Scribes.

  • I'm probably judging them unfairly. They're cheap and they had an unknown life. I just get annoyed when bearings go during rides. Yes, my partner never checks anything. No, I'm not doing it for her.

    I've had zero issues with my Bike Whisperer SP/DT Swiss wheels (other than crashes killing the original front rim) so I'd go another set but I'm also thinking of just being a tart and getting some nonsense deep carbon for the Crux.
