I absolutely agree. My Juice went back twice. The last one that came back didn't feel quite as nice in the hand, but they're great quality tools.
I guess from my perspective I've sent them back when broken, so I probably wouldn't buy one ahead of sending it back. And I don't see warrantying something expensive as being skinfkint or tight.
From a quality perspective, my understanding is that the main issue is that you have certain small parts which require heat treatment. Sometimes these haven't been done correctly or the design means they are weak. Those are things which have always occasionally broken, and no doubt always will.
Obvs you also have stuff that sometimes breaks because shit happens.
