  • can anyone help?

I finally got round to doing oil/ filter and clutch fluid change on the vfr...
oil/ filter change went smoothly but clutch fluid change not so much.

I followed Kevs Shed on youtube and all went ok apart from letting the reservioir run dry and introducing air into the system. I've been using one of the pressurized bleed kits and have now done it at least six times and have no bubbles. However when I put it into gear and pull the clutch in I still can't rotate the wheel.

    Any ideas?

  • Where are you?

Get a big syringe, 50ml plus and a bit of plastic tube. Then either reverse bleed or draw the fluid out

Or a length of tube that goes higher than reservoir. Open bleed and leave for an hour or two and the magic of physics means the the air will be gone.

  • Unfortunately up near Manchester.

so a bit like you do with shimano brakes? so draw it out from the master cylinder reservoir?

I've not a tube length that long, what diameter/size is the hose required to fit over the bleed nipple?
Not sure where all them bubbles can be coming from? I'm either doing something wrong or somethings broken? This is outside my comfort zone - I'm ok with oil changes and disc/pads....
