    In general it is as you say, any tattooist worth their salt wouldn't be hugely keen on just replicating something someone brings in on a bit of paper. Anyone would be ok with you coming in with that and saying "I want a cartridge bearing, sort of like this" though, I would expect.

    Both my suggestions are into bicycles in some capacity, if that helps.

    I showed the ninja tune logo I wanted to the guy who I was talking to about possibly doing mine, his eyes lit up and he started reminiscing about the label and his favourite artists from bitd & we spent the whole of the session where he replicated it listening to stuff from the label.

    It's nothing fancy & not everyone's cuppa but I'm really liking it and am glad it wasn't done freehand.

  • logo is the logo though, right, if it's reinterpreted it's not the same thing surely? not the same as 'my friend is really good at drawing and they did this'
