When I was a lad, etc. The Royal Oak in Vauxhall was THE BEST Guinness in London. In the days when pubs shut between 3 and 5.30 they'd do the loads of pints half filled on the bar thing, all ready for the old Irish fellas coming in off the building sites. I think my long gone mate, Barry, told us about that place, his dad who was an old provo used to drink in there.
Fantastic pint, I seem to recall it was a bit gentrified the last time I was up that way.
