Owner told me he applied some wax based lube and given that all the shite is on right hand/ drive train side that seems to correlate.
There is undoubtedly plenty of road detritus mixed in with the wax which has then dried.
As per my previous post unleaded has sorted it out
I'm off for a smoke now...
