  • On a separate note to my treadmill rabbit hole, 6 weeks since completely ditching the custom orthotics, based on guidance from physio. Successfully gotten to this point with no injuries or aches following 5 months of strict s&c work, fortnightly strength assessments at the physio, and gradually building mileage back up from 0 at strictly zone 2 pace.

    Delighted to be back injecting some pace into sessions for the first time today. My shoes feel so light and springy without the chunky, heavy, inflexible orthotics in them!

    Plan from here is to build mileage gradually up 10% week on week til I get to marathon training distance again, and then look at an event to enter!
