Yeah, tough day to be a brake.
A group of us bailed on the road after Hainault Forest due to brakes being done.

Yeah, mine weren't happy either. I had about 50% braking power by the end. One of my clubmates had to stop by ditching it into a bush at the bottom of that little hill in Hainult Forest. It was good craic though even if I was terrified I had trenchfoot for 3/4 of the ride.

Can confirm the weather did not improve. We had hail, pissing rain and a tiny bit of sunshine. Half my group gave up due to mud-related mechanicals, so many brakes gave up the ghost.
Fair play to anyone who did it on Sunday instead, you had a lovely day for it!
