@sohi I'm fairly sure that the first gen Firecrest disc brake wheels still used a rim that appeared to still have a brake track.
The disc wheels that had these rims had a difference, the brake track was clear coated over like the rest of the rim. The rim brake version had the brake track sanded. -

Those reviews are of the very first gen, you can tell by the older hubs.
The hubs on yours are the more recent hubs that came out after the recalls for the ones pictured in those reviews.
